Due to the fact that so much repair work is involved the results of an internal audit are often ignored only to turn up during an external audit. If there is a huge amount of work that the internal audit shows needs to be done, then at least generate a remediation plan on how you are going to tackle the issues, and assign responsible persons.

Have you got an internal audit schedule in place?
Evidence of good intent
If you make only a little progress, that is still much better than throwing your hands up in the air and giving up because it is too much to do. The presence of the plan and the assignment of responsible persons shows “evidence of good intent”
Doing nothing looks (and is) negligent
Periodic Audits
Internal audits should be performed periodically on all aspects of your business, it ensures that SOP’s and standards are being maintained and if they are not then action plans can be implemented to ensure that they will be in the future.
Its now the start of a new years, perhaps its time your organisation developed their audit regime for 2010.

Sir,
Internal audit system is a back bone to reinforce the GMP system.
Internal audits have to be focused in weak points of the system. In this case, Quality Assurance Units and QP have all the information to determine them. Each audit should be done to reinforce not all the GMP system but some specific aspects.
